There is something about childhood, whether our own or a collective idea of it, that finds a way to imprint onto our older selves. Reverie explores a reconnection through childhood materials, familiar spaces, and memories, even those forgotten. Seeking comfort through the constant spaces of my upbringing, I created a space that pays homage to these cherished grounds. With the painting laid upon the floor and interactive elements like hopscotch, I hope to challenge traditional boundaries. Inviting viewers to physically step on the artwork, blurring the line between observer and creator. Any wear or damage from these interactions becomes an integral part of the piece, capturing the true essence of human presence and memory.
